Here are 10 unique aspects of FashioNXT as they celebrated their 10 year anniversary and gear up for next year…

1. Official fashion week of the city of Portland. That’s right for many years a proclamation has gone out from the Mayor’s office announcing FashioNXT as the Official Fashion Week of the City of Roses
2. A unique runway experience. From a sustainable Bamboo Runway to one made with Solar Panel to the U-Shape Runway that snaked its way through the venue last year FashioNXT pops up in unique spaces where it must adapt and often offers a Runway Fashion Show with a twist. 
3. UpNXT Emerging designers – accelerator has launched the career of numerous up and coming fashion designers. The winners of Thursday Nights competition will get support, mentorship and the chance to show their collection next year on the FashioNXT runway.
4. FashioNXT Gives back – The charitable aspect of FashioNXT is always evident with their support of Nonprofit organizations and causes that align with their overall values. They even work hard to lessen their carbon footprint and support Portland’s eco-friendly culture.  
5. Celebrity sightings are to be expected on the FashioNXT Red Carpet each year – local icons like Portland Timber Players, Trail Blazers and City officials are often joined by International celebrities at this spectacular event. 
6. Top Global designers, including Project runway all-stars frequent the FashioNXT Runway every year. This year will feature designers all the way from Hawaii (which has been in many Portlanders thoughts and prayers lately) alongside designers from coast-to-coast. Add to that Project Runway All-Star Winners Seth Aaron (Friday) & Mondo Guerra (Saturday) and you know you are in for a night full of Fashion. 
7. With a Tagline that encourages us to “experience what’s next” in the world of Fashion it’s no surprise Technology and innovation are a big part of FashioNXT from 3-D printed shoes to  wearable tech. You know you’ll discover the last from the world of Fashion each year. 
8. We mentioned before that FashioNXT pops up at unique & Interesting locations each year. From a shipyard, to a warehouse to under giant tents, they’ve done it all over the last 10 years. Of course this year they’ll take over the Historic US Bank Building as they help to revitalize downtown Portland. They’ll transform the space October 5-7 and this one will be one for the history books. 
9. FashioNXT is Newsworthy – featured in TIME Magazine and Forbes as one of the Top Fashion Shows outside of New York Fashion Week this event has helped to put Portland on the Map letting the world know Oregon is not just a Nike town but a place for all types of Fashion & Design. 
10. Finally FashioNXT is more than a Runway Fashion Show it’s a Celebration of the City. People gather together to support the creators and innovators that make Portland so special and from the Red Carpet to the After-Party that follows each Runway shows there’s so much to see and so much to Celebrate this year, and every year at FashioNXT. 

And those are our Top 10 elements that I think make FashioNXT so unique.
