Jeremiah can often be found in front of a Step & Repeat banner interviewing the who’s who. So what does he do to get ready for the Red Carpet? And what Tips would he give would be interviews before they encounter their first high powered icon or celebrity?
Here’s a few tips fresh from Jeremiah Stroup.
1. Keep your Cool
Yes you might be meeting someone with millions of twitter followers or huge bank accounts but remember they are just people… really, really rich and famous people. But seriously they don’t need you to be a super fan, they need you to do your job so take a deep breath and stay focused.
2. Be Prepared
Working the red carpet is about more then keeping your poise in the face of flashing lights and screaming fans. It’s about doing your research, planning your questions and back up questions and knowing more than just the typical inquires the rest of the reporters will ask. Be ready and be interesting.
3. Be In the Moment
You’ve quieted your nerves, stuck to your well prepared game plan and now it’s up to you to stay in the moment. Don’t get forget to stay flexible, allow for a detour or two along the way and expect the unexpected. The stars will enjoy your ingenuity and you’ll have a lot more fun.
