Jeremiah helps local business win big

Helping local businesses win

If you’ve followed Jeremiah Stroup at all you know he loves to showcase local shops and small business and champion indie artists and creators. It may be because he grew up in a small farm town with big dreams of being on Television or that he just has a heart to serve the local community and support the US economy.

Whatever the reason he’s showcased over a thousand individuals, businesses and brands over the last 25 years on stages, during Television interviews, and live on the the red carpet.

“I think there are so many people and businesses who are unique and special and who should be celebrated”, Jeremiah shared.

A short time ago he shifted his weekly local event reports on YourWeekendRundown.com to focus more on the best of the city and lists of some of the most exciting opportunities and experience visitors and local could explore.

Prior to the revamp Jeremiah had featured over 250 festivals, market places and pop-up events in a city near you. Episodes aired on a Global streaming network and could be found on Roku and Amazon Fire.

Jeremiah was tapped to feature some super spots to watch the “Big Game” and Jeremiah highlighted a diverse collections of spots where people could gather to watch the Super Bowl LVII if the chose to venture out of their man caves on February 12th, 2023. And this year’s game was definitely one to watch with an average of 113 million people tuning in drew quite a crowd.

Jeremiah realized big chains that serve up wings and beer would probably already be packed on a Sunday like this one, but knew some locals would rather hit a local dive bar, sports bar, or unique venue instead where their dollars could make a difference close to home.

Six Spots to watch the Big Game (or future games)

His line up included a fan favorite sports bar in Northwest Portland fittingly named The Fields Bar and Grill who offered up jello shots in the color theme of each team and 27 big screens to watch the game, Jackie’s in Southeast Portland who’s Stadium seating area offers great game viewing opportunities and who’s roof top offers great views of the city also offer delicious food and a upscale twist on a typical sport bar.

Additionally, Yur’s Bar and Grill a self proclaimed “friendly neighborhood dive bar located in NW Portland” who’s ownership is shared by Washington Redskins veteran Terry Hermeling and his son Cody Hermeling is always a relax spot to enjoy sporting events in between games of pool.

But that’s only half time when it comes to the line up of awesome local spots to watch the big game. The newest addition to the watch party team was a unique offering as it was their first time hosting a Super Bowl viewing party at Stag Portland. This spot is normally a Nightclub geared towards the LGBTQ+ community and their allies that hosts a popular Drag Brunch on Sundays. However for this Super Bowl Sunday guests could stick around and swap out their mimosa for draft beers and food from their new bar menu.

Also on the list a neighbor sports bar with plenty of parking just Southwest of downtown Portland on SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway called Club House Bar and Grill. They offer pool tables, 18 Televisions to enjoy the game, plus Karaoke on the weekend if you want to do your rendition of Rihanna’s halftime show performance.

Just a little further south off Highway 99W in Tigard, Oregon you’ll find the final featured spot for viewing the big game a tasty taco truck with a twist called Livi’s Taqueria. This family owned restaurant is tucked away next to Tigard Bowl and offers up authentic Mexican food for pickup and delivery but what sets this location apart is the fact they offer an in door seating area, restroom, and bar (with video lottery machines coming soon) just steps away from where the fresh new food truck is parked outside. And with the addition of multiple flatscreen Televisions they were ready to host their first Super Bowl viewing party ever. They even offered up $2 tacos after each touchdown so no matter who scored everyone won!
